DKI Trials Face-to-Face School, Parents' Decision
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI) officially conducts face-to-face school trials starting today, Wednesday (7/4/2021), and will last until April 29, 2021.
Face-to-face school trials were carried out by 85 schools that had passed the assessment of the DKI Jakarta Education Office, both in terms of the readiness of school health protocol infrastructure facilities as well as the health of teachers and educators.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Education Office, Nahdiana, said that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Education Office is working with various parties to prepare face-to-face school plans. As well as providing an overview of face-to-face schools in Jakarta which will take place once a week for a certain class level.
The decision is in the hands of the parents
In the application of mixed learning, parents still have full rights to determine whether their children are given permission to participate in mixed learning or learn from home.
Thus, the education unit continues to carry out learning from home, especially for educational units that have not passed the assessment and have not yet participated in the limited trial.
In addition, in the event that the school remains upfront if there are symptoms of COVID-19 exposure in students and educators, the school may immediately coordinate with the nearest health center for further examination.
If there is a positive case of being exposed to COVID-19, the education unit will be closed for 3x24 hours for disinfecting and further tracing by the Health Office.
Then, the education unit reopened, after the authorities declared the school in a safe condition from transmission of COVID-19.
